Who are we


The Western Suburbs District Cricket Club, nicknamed “The Magpies”, are a foundation club of the NSW Premier Cricket competition. The Magpies have won 11 First Grade premierships since it’s foundation in 1895 and has a proud tradition of developing many first class and international players. We are proud to have produced the most players who have gone on to play test cricket than any other club in Australia.


The Western Suburbs District Cricket Club aims to provide it’s cricketers, coaches and administrators with;

  • A platform for young and senior players to enter pathways for representative state and national teams.

  • A club that delivers a professional training and playing environment.

  • A support network and development program that allows its’ players become “Better People Through Cricket”
