From the President - Update After Round 13

20th February 2018

Following the conclusion of Round 13, the following is an update on the Club’s progress in the 2017/18 season:

  • Wests won 3 Grades last Saturday v Penrith taking our Club Championship tally to 845 points (currently 13th place). This is the most points achieved by the Club since the 2010/11 season (948 points).
  • With two Rounds still to be played, 4th Grade’s 8th consecutive win – an outright - has already secured a home Quarter Final (to be played Sat 17/Sun 18 March at Pratten Park). The team currently sits in 1st place on 72 points with Northern District (68) & Manly Warringah (67) in close pursuit.
  • Both 1st & 3rd Grade remain mathematical chances of playing Finals but need a lot of results to go their way.

With 65 matches now complete across the 5 Grades, Wests have recorded 29 wins, 7 draws & 29 losses. If the Club can win at least 5 matches from the final 10 matches to be played it will surpass the previous high of 33 wins achieved in 2010/11.
