Brent Atherton joins Western Suburbs

21st May 2017

Brent, a promising left hand top order batsman, who is still eligible to play Poidevin Gray Under 21’s, joins Wests from Hawkesbury.

Atherton debuted in First Grade in 2015-16 and has since played 24 matches, scoring 730 runs at 29.2. Ironically, Brent’s highest score of 88 was compiled against the Magpies.

In 2014, Atherton captained the Combined Catholic Colleges team which competed in the NSW Schoolboys Championship. That should assist Brent to settle in at Pratten Park, as he will rejoin James Psarakis, Alec Baldwin, Dan Constable, Tom Burt and Jonathon Fowles from those Championships.
